Kiela & Talayah met as fellow Toastmaster's of the Bold Literary Talkers Toastmaster's Club in Chicago, IL, "Home of the 2006 World Champion of Public Speaking". Kiela attended a Toastmaster meeting where Talayah was presenting a speech on creating a vision board. Kiela had prior experience with creating her own vision boards also so she approached Talayah about them leading a vision board workshop together. They both agreed and I guess you could say the rest is history.........
Kiela Smith-Upton, President and Chief Visionary Officer of Songhay Studios Group Incorporated, is a professionally trained fine artist, muralist and arts consultant. She has 20 yrs. experience energizing, educating and inspiring people and communities by creating and consulting on numerous distinctive and collaborative murals and public art, hands-on workshops and training. Her most notable permanent public art is a series of collaborative sculpted and mosaic benches at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
